Meeting Expectations: A daunting task

Every success is clubbed with responsibility. I remember there was a dialogue in the first spiderman movie, the old uncle of Peter Parker tells him "With power comes responsibility, so you need to be more responsible now". This fair advice of that gentle uncle of Peter Parker has been etched in my mind.

When I retrospect and look at myself. I find various roles that I take during a day. I am an entreprenuer. I am a professor. I am a consultant. There are always people who look at me for advice. For suggestions. For guidance. I cannot afford to be rash and irresponsible to them. Also, You have granted me lots of recognition My Lord! and this has enlarged my diameter, now there are more eyes scanning my behaviour, looking at me and wanting to emulate me.

But My Lord! I know and You know better how vulnerable I am. How weak I am. How sinful I am. My every step is full of sins. I look upto to You to take me out of this well and bless me with Your divine nearness so that I can be a guide, a mentor, a leader in a true sense. I want to rise in Your eyes. I want to meet all the expectations which people around want from me and I also want to meet Your expectations; a daunting task if I tried on my own. But a very simple task if You help me. So do help me attain that divine position.

Bless my holy prophet and his holy progeny and make me meet all Your expectations. Make my life a super success in both the worlds. O My Lord! The Omnipotent! The Omnipresent!

Long-live my mentors!

Time and again it has been proved that every good thing to happen, it needs sacrifice and hardwork. If I take my case, then whatever I have achieved is the result of the great sacrifice my parents gave, when they sent me away from them for a good quality education. They sacrificed their love and affection since they wanted me to be a good human being. To be successfull. Instead of sending me to a good boarding school, they chose to send me to my uncle (mentor), so that I may get benefit of both the worlds. I would be worldly wise and gain a lot in spirituality.

If the sacrifice of my parents is big, then no lesser is the hardwork and sincerity of my guardian uncle in making me what I am today. He is an authority in spirituality, and I am following his footsteps to gain few pearls of spiritual wisdom from him. I am a sinner and I do realize my place, but I aspire to be with them always.

My Lord! Bless my holy prophet and his holy progeny and shower Your limitless love, grace, affection and kindness on my guardian, his children, his grand children and his entire family. Also shower Your kindness on my mother and make me her obedient son. Give my father a large kingdom in Your heavens. After-all whatever I have achieved is their success not mine. So bless all of them always. O My Lord! The Omnipotent! The Omnipresent!

O My Lord! I thank You a million times for whatever You have given me. You have heard all my prayers and made me realize all my dreams. During my recent conference at Mumbai, a fellow delegate after hearing my presentation approached me and congratulated me on my presentation. He said "You have two strengths which makes you successful, you are humble and you are honest. Be like this always and you will get much more success." I can't afford to ignore these golden words..

Think beyond obvious
